"What we have to fear is fear itself". "Do not fear". Two famous expressions from two famous persons, of totally different backgrounds. But they spell out the essence and sometimes the ultimate cause of our everyday action, and constant human conduct interacting with others. We should be not afraid of a fear as an ultimate sentiment to self-preservation. Fear as on emotion is integral part of our personality for self conduct of our very existence. In view of that and because of it, fear is an essential part of our personal behavior manifesting interdependence on the personal, social, governmental levels.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, the fear is so deeply enrooted in our existence and our everyday actions that sometimes we even don’t release what deeply influence our whole way of life and all the interactions with others. By definition as an emotion fear is irrational, bur built in our psyche as a necessity for self-preservation, a motor of our every day actions. Keeping in mind these characteristics since the beginning of the humanity leaders, family members, and so-called friends all our quittances know to use this sentiment and to manipulate it the ways most efficient and useful not necessarily to us. From the crude approach, when fear can be transformed to the panic and caused irreparable damage, as we see in the fire or other catastrophic events, to the very sophisticated use thru antiquities middle ages up to most recent almost perfect techniques used by different governmental bodies, parties, or political systems.

In order to show, express, and have the fear against, we have to build a dangerous, sometimes life treating for us image of persons, situations, facts, circumstances and presenting this image by ways so outrageous and so dangerous as a imminent treat for our own existence, or more precisely to the annihilation or extinction of this existence.

In the past, communist regimes built the propaganda of the Western democracies as a most outrageous, most unimaginable in its evil image being almost demonic and immediate treat here and now to the very existence of the communist regimes. This paranoia fear of the West was so enrooted in the conscience of the people, which after so many years past this mistrust, or apprehensiveness still exists in some nations.
Naturally by contrast the communist regimes built their image as a best or ideal solutions to our social problems and inequities and questions to be solved in to the best direction for our personal preservation and our best under the conditions survival.

This almost demonic conduct’s presentation of the western world had in mind to build fear’s emotions, later to rationalize them and to create a fearful attitudes to preserve the communist regimes and to defend it up to the death, if necessary. The ways to present the West in the most possible worst way any and every tools was acceptable and useful. Beginning from the outright outrageous lies changing the historic undisputed facts, denying real events, dissipating unsubstantial slogans or news, manipulation of the evidence different type s of espionage, personal, monetary profits conformist assurances denying existence of documents manipulating mass media up to evocation of the supreme goods and interests for the particular countries, or individuals.

To live in constant fear is sometimes so painful an uncomfortable, paralyzing our own actions and pushing to the irrational behavior, to be fearful is so painful and dramatizing, it almost unbearable. To be feared is not either very human feeling and satisfying personal development. Despite that according to many, the fear is an ultimate cause for our human action and pushing to know the true intentions of conduct of other people, in other words what other side thinks and what are his real intentions. We try to read somebody’s mind by using different types of techniques viable to us. Usually we have different types of communications open or covert. The most useful tactics are different types of espionage and spy works and instruments. These activities are so basic and so sophisticated, and so perfect that everybody is willing to use them from wife or husband, friends, industrial spaying up to the most sophisticated techniques and most unusual subjects. Basically spaying is our way of reducing our level of fear of somebody and to have better tools for conducting our dialogue, or to be better prepared to the confrontation. Spaying as a covert, and rational activities facilitate for us not only to reduce the level of fear, but unable us to know better the real intentions of our real or imaginary adversary. When we are the most fearful, we tray to spy more intensely and to have as much as possible information about the intentions of the enemy, in order to project its future intentions and actions. It is not an accident that the most fearful nation for its existence has the most powerful, most sophisticated, most brutal espionage system in the world.

The level of the fear is increasing when we have, or wanted to have more to posses, and to have more wealth for our disposition and preserve it for us. IN order to protect it, we build sophisticated covenants, treats, or simply on the personal level sophisticated alarm systems hire different types of guards, and plan selective ways of preventions measures to protect us along with our goods. By THIS TYPE OF ACTION WE GIVE TO OUR EMOTION OF FEAR A RATIONAL APROACH AND TO PRESERVE OUR OWN EXISTENCE AND PROTECTION OF OUR FUTURE EXISTENCE AND our way of life, maintaining our way of living for now and in the future. In order to have more surety often we create more doubts around us, and later try to solve it and if necessary to eliminate it. By creation more doubts, we build around us more fear and it’s easer to influence our decision making process by others. When we have more doubts about the subject or situation, it’s easier to undertake the solution not necessarily according to the established facts but rather to the feelings of somebody else. The mass media by reporting individual, fragmentary, selective by nature news are the best way to divulge the doubt. Doubt makes us more anxious and more fearful and prone to outside influence in the decision making process. It’s self-explanatory that the politicians are the masters in manipulating our fears about our ultimately self-preservation. They can win the elections by instigating our fears and make them look like real and dangerous to our well being. At best they are doubtful, or plain wrong after while. Unfortunately the damage was done and politicians are at the power for short time but long enough to make the irreparable damage. Hysteria about imaginable, or fabricated danger is fuelled and taken personal by us due to the fact that the fear is a part of our own existence.

The fear sometimes is so potent that it conducts us to retaliation. When we did some bad to   others, implicitly we fear retaliation of similar fashion we did, or maybe more sophisticated that our action. This way of thinking we can observe in the present politics Fear of retaliation of certain countries indicates to us to restrict certain countries from having nuclear weapons. Fear of our previous mishaps indicates our profound mistrust and doubts about real intentions of our adversaries real or imaginary.

Thru the last decades of the history we can see that the adversaries than are the friends now, and vice versa. Unfortunately this is cause for concern. The criteria we pick up the friends change from our prospective and depend from our particular interests at the given time and political or geographical conditions. Definitely we have a choice to pick up and abandoned the friends, but our system of values should not be changed so quickly.

Opposite of the fear is the trust. also as a inner part of our personality and motor of our conduct in every day life. Some doubts about it were expressed in the saying “Trust but verify”. Fortunately or not the trust is a part of our social or individual personalities. To build the trust we have to gradually eliminate doubts and fear by using previously mentioned methods. Trust is rather a rational process, when after analyzing useful information in the decision making process we arrive to the conviction that we can trust to that person, or social entity. Usually by expressing our trust we project a rational behavior according to our expectations, without any unpredictable surprises. Trust as a term is used and abused by many in order to give a good impression, or to gain some immediate, or long terms profits. To gain the trust of somebody is long process requiring many different arguments and many different approaches and tolls of knowledge.

Next we have on other famous expression” Do not fear”.

This is an expression of the attitude crisscrossing and eliminating the fears as a part of our personality. Manifested doubts, hidden agendas, and impressions truthful verifications spaying or other verifiable actions are part of the scope of this attitude.   These actions are legitimate, but not essential to trust to somebody. This trust is based and has its vigor from outside force, sometimes independent of our reason or will, or our verifiable actions. This trust is built not only on the bases of our past, present experiences, our rational approach to the reality but we should take into consideration other outside forces governing our destiny. To add more to the arguments to trust to somebody we have to consider this person as an entity. We trust this person due to the fact, that he is what he is- human being. By that we touch the philosophical problem “to be” or “to have”. And to be is more personal and closer to the trust and more intimate to the person, that “to have”. To have involutes the doubts obout future fears, obout present anxiety, about past doubts. Our present occupation and our worries are about “haves” and “not haves”, as an ultimate cause of our fears. We are building our defenses to eliminate our fears about “not haves” in order to alleviate our doubts and to find a political solution. At this level it’s appropriate to approach the solution from this type point of view, it seams to be a rational approach by adding other human dimension to the way of solving the question Most of the military and political solutions by definition are partial solutions, if they don’t take into consideration and account cultural conditionements, social values associated with particular culture proper to given nation or group of nations.
