The Cheka: Lenin's Political Police; Some Jewish “Racial Solidarity” in Communism. Overabundance of Jewish Leadership in Communism Could Actually Have Been Greater

Wednesday, July 19, 2017
This scholarly work presents a variety of interesting information. I focus on a few pertinent topics.

Some commentators have described Dzierzhinsky as a Judaized Pole. How accurate is this?

Leggett describes how Dzerzhinsky grew up in Vilna [Wilno, Vilnius], which he describes as a cosmopolitan city with a strong Jewish element and a focal point of socialist ferment in Tsarist Russia. (p. 34). He adds that, “Dzerzhinsky came under the influence of Martov, future leader of the Menshevik Party, by whom he was introduced into Jewish circles, both proletarian and of the intelligentsia; he made many Jewish friends and zealously learned Yiddish. The Bund—Jewish social democratic workers’ organization in Lithuania, Poland, and Russia, founded in 1897—helped Dzerzhinsky in his political activity, for instance in late 1899. Dzerzhinsky’s close friend and schoolmate in Vilna was Mikhail Goldman…” (pp. 24-25). >>more...

From Tradition to Commentary: Torah and Its Interpretation in the Midrash Sifre to Deuteronomy (Judaica: Hermeneutics, Mysticism, and Religion;Talmudic Dual Morality Governing Jews and the GOYIM: “It Depends on Whose Ox is Gored”,

Friday, July 14, 2017
The double standard is systematic. It appears not only in the Talmud, but in other rabbinical literature. By way of introduction, author Steven D. Fraade, Mark Taper Professor of the History of Judaism at Yale University, writes, “There the context is the interpretation of the mishnaic rule (BABA QAMMA 4:3) that an Israelite is not culpable if his ox gores the ox of a gentile, whereas a gentile whose ox gores that of an Israelite must pay full damages regardless whether or not the gentile’s ox was a habitual gorer.” (p. 52). >>more...

The Other in Jewish Thought and History: Constructions of Jewish Culture and Identity (New Perspectives on Jewish Studies);Rabbinic Dual Morality Governing Jews and Gentiles: A Real Issue. Futility of Exculpations,

Friday, July 14, 2017
Podwojna moralnosc -double morality  Of this anthology, I focus on the scholarly work of Steven D. Fraade. He squarely faces the double standard on Jews and gentiles, and does so without evasion or apologetics. He notes that, “There are surprisingly few critical treatments of the topic of Jewish attitudes to non-Jews in ancient times.” (p. 159). One commonly hears of the dual morality in the Talmud [PODWOJNA MORALNOSC], but the reader quickly learns, from this work, that it is true of other rabbinical literature as well. >>more...

The Holocaust: A New History;De-Mystifies the Holocaust. Implicitly Challenges Holocaust Supremacism and the All-Jews-Must-Die Misconception,

Tuesday, July 11, 2017
At the end of his book, Laurence Rees repeats the standard line about Jews being in the core of Nazi thinking and the Holocaust being exclusively Jewish and not analogous to the Nazi genocides of any other peoples. (p. 425). Ironically, he had just spent much of his book undermining both premises! >>more...

Holocaust Supremacism in Newspapers Measured. Staggering!

Tuesday, July 11, 2017
I have just done a detailed database study of mentions of the Holocaust (or Shoah) compared with the mentions of the somewhat-publically-known genocides of Armenians, Ukrainians, and Gypsies.   The disparity is truly staggering!   HOLOCAUST SUPREMACISM IN LEADING ENGLISH-LANGUAGE NEWSPAPERS >>more...

Hollywood and the Holocaust (Film and History;Hollywood Promotes Monopolized Holocaust Supremacy--Almost-Completely Ignoring All Other Genocides

Tuesday, July 11, 2017
This work focuses on questions such as whether or not Holocaust films are historically accurate, whether or not they are primarily entertainment, whether or not they are kitsch, whether or not they adequately teach important lessons, whether or not they trivialize the Holocaust, and whether or not they are explicitly Jewish or “universal”. However, none of these issues/questions is relevant to the inescapable fact that it is the Jews’ genocide that constantly basks in the limelight, and that it does so at the expense of the countless genocides of other peoples. That is the focus of my review. >>more...
